I’m Katie. First and foremost, I’m the wife to an amazing husband who lets me dream big, and the mother to three energetic, creative, and funny children who keep us on our toes. We live in the heart of the Midwest in Central Iowa with our crazy Vizsla pup, Ginger.

I’ve had a love of reading, writing, and creating ever since I was little. I couldn't wait to go to the library, write my own stories, and even try to illustrate them!

Little did I know that my love for storytelling and creating would lead me to become an author myself, inspired by our children.

My first book, “Charlie Learns About Her Food Allergies”, brings awareness and education about food allergies to all children. All of our children have multiple food allergies. When I noticed there weren’t many books for children on this topic, I decided to change that.

I'm continuing to write more books about kids with food allergies to show they can do what everyone else can, it just may look a little different.
