Dear Kelli,

Suzanne Jamieson is an L.A.-based yoga therapist and award-winning singer/songwriter, children’s musician, author, and mom to two lovely children.

Suzanne grew up in Racine, Wisconsin, where she was bitten by the “theatre bug.” After earning a BFA in Musical Theatre from Syracuse University, she went on to act in theatre and film in New York and Los Angeles, while also earning her certification as a yoga therapist through Loyola Marymount University. Combining her loves for wellness, mindfulness, and music, Suzanne turned her focus toward family music in 2012, after the birth of her daughter.

Her children’s albums "Shine: Lullabies for Everyone" (2014) and "Bounce" (2020) have won the NAPPA, Parents’ Choice, Kids Choice, Kids First, and Moms Choice awards, as well as the Creative Child Album of the Year award. Her song “Grateful,” featuring Grammy-winning Alphabet Rockers, won first prize for Best Children’s Song in the 2021 International Songwriting Competition. Suzanne has charted as the #1 song on Sirius XM’s Kids Place Live and has released several holiday singles that receive regular radio play on that station. Putting on her writer’s hat, Suzanne has been busy this past year creating a Tween Mindfulness Journal, which will be published by Cottage Door Press, likely in 2025.

Suzanne’s hope is that, if we give more focus to love, we can start to build a better world with and for our children. Her new album, "Love Is …", set for release on July 19, was created with that goal in mind. “The only thing that has ever had any chance of healing us or our world is love,” Suzanne says, “and bringing families’ attention to love every single day is a powerful act toward peace and justice.”
